The State of Energy and GHG Emissions in Canada

Canadian Energy Outlook, 3rd edition - first report

The Canadian Energy Outlook project describes and analyzes the transformations required to energy services in order to meet net-zero objectives in Canada, where these services are strongly associated with quality of life and standards of living, from transportation of people and goods, to heating and cooling buildings.

This first report provides an overview of the main trends in energy consumption and production across Canada. It also indicates how these trends relate to a broader assessment of the evolution of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
