Four master's students and one doctoral student are the latest recipients of the Trottier scholarship. Winners of the 2025 competition, they come from a variety of backgrounds and have some exciting projects up their sleeves!

Ariane Caron (Udem - Chemistry) will be working on the development of redox batteries using electroactive organic molecules, a promising avenue for replacing Li-ion batteries with a more efficient, safer and more economical alternative.

Sabrina Désilets (Poly - Chemical Engineering), a socially committed student who has already made a name for herself in the media, plans to focus on transforming invasive algae into sustainable biofuel.

Marie-Liesse Koch (Poly - Energy Engineering), will be working on modelling and optimising the performance of a battery system in a solar farm, taking into account technical and economic constraints.

Chloé Mbog (Poly - Electrical Engineering) will attempt to understand thermal instabilities in high-current superconducting cables, with the aim of contributing to the decarbonisation of aviation.

Finally, Thomas Boulanger (UdeM - Chemistry) is already working on the development of higher-capacity batteries. He is attempting to optimise the concentration of electrolyte in these batteries in order to improve their stability and safety.

We wish them every success in their research!
